At Simcox Brokers, we can arrange Professional Indemnity insurance (PII) for Architects.
The ARB state that architects must have a minimum £250,000 limit of indemnity. We work with well-established Professional Indemnity insurers and can arrange policies which can provide your firm with flexible limits of indemnity and wordings which meet the requirements of RIBA and the ARB. If your practice ceases trading and subject to you meeting certain underwriting criteria, we can also arrange a six-year block run-off cover.
As an independent broker we have built strong working relationships with a wide panel of specialist insurers in this sector and can assist you throughout the application process, helping best present your firm to the insurers and fully supporting you in the event of a claim. Subject to criteria, we can also arrange a free legal contract review for any collateral warranties and / or novation agreements you are asked to enter into.

Although the regulations do not require more than the above cover, this limit may not be adequate for your firm.
