Simcox Brokers are independent specialist insurance brokers acting for a wide range of professions, businesses and property owners. We also specialise in helping complex enterprises and new business start-ups. We look to build long-term relationships with our clients and work in partnership with you to support your organisation from the outset.
We adopt a consultative approach where our brokerage expertise includes Professional Indemnity, Business Combined Liability, Office Insurance, Directors & Officers Liability, Cyber Liability and Property & Casualty insurance.
As an independent insurance broker, we are impartial and objective where our goal is to provide you with the right cover to manage your risks. We are not tied to a single insurer and have access to a broad and varied panel of insurers, saving you the hassle of approaching multiple brokers or indeed approaching insurers directly.
Kimberley Braham
Business Operations
Kim was our Insurance Broker in the North of England and headed up our new business department from Harrogate however, since having her daughter in 2023 Kim has returned temporarily on a part time basis in the role of Business Operations.
Learning from her professional experience Kim is passionate about making business transactions simple, friendly and transparent. A natural problem solver and technically minded she enjoys the challenge of improving systems and streamlining processes using technology.
Prior to becoming an Insurance Broker Kim had worked in operational roles in technical environments and has management experience in the Financial Services industry where she played a pivotal part in founding and managing a successful pension portfolio management service.
Outside of work, Kim enjoys spending time with her family and little dog, Tina in the North Yorkshire countryside. She loves to travel and has a keen interest in interior design.

Tom Simcox
Founder & Managing Director
Having spent his whole career in the insurance industry Tom began as a Professional Indemnity Underwriter, which gives him the edge over traditional Insurance Brokers. Tom’s insight and knowledge of the insurance market means that he is well equipped to recognise business needs in a way that insurance underwriters understand.
It had always been Tom’s lifelong ambition to set up his own company, so in 2013, Simcox Brokers was born. He heads up managing his clients’ insurance and risk management programmes and growing the business.
When not managing risk and immersed in policies, he is kept very busy being a Dad to his two young daughters. In his spare time, he is a keen golfer and skier. He also enjoys playing cricket and watching his home team Bath play rugby. In a voluntary capacity, he also sits on the Board of Trustees for a Bristol-based charity called Youth Education Service Ltd which provides informal learning opportunities for young people and adults.
Sarah joined Simcox Brokers as an Account Administrator in 2021 but has since moved into the role of Head of Client Renewals. Sarah is the initial point of contact for all existing clients providing day to day management of their risks, implementing any mid term policy adjustments and sourcing renewal terms for their policies.
Sarah has excellent knowledge of the insurance industry, she is customer focussed with a friendly and personable approach and is passionate about building lasting relationships with clients and colleagues, striving to deliver excellent service on everything she works on.
With a degree in Business & Information Systems and a background in Product Management and Business Development, Sarah has a depth of knowledge in a variety of business systems.
In her spare time Sarah is a keen gardener and DIYer and enjoys walking her dogs and entertaining her young daughter.
